Happy Sunday! The heat has returned to Charleston and while I’m not mad, the short spell of cool mornings was lovely and allowed me to enjoy a few of the new Vincent James pieces that will become my regular uniform when the chilly days return. As a small business owner with a focus on creating in harmony with people and planet, I also love to shop other small and/or intentional businesses and I’ve finally started linking some of my favorites here for you per your requests.
Breaking down the above 7 looks for you below:
Look 1: Top, Denim, Bag, Shoes.
I want to take a moment to elaborate on this Harkin Studio clutch. I’ve been looking for something similar for a while and it exceeds my expectations in so many ways. It’s a beautiful rich plum/burgundy- so good with all black, white and denim, and is made by hand in small batches in Cleveland, Ohio from hides sourced from regenerative farms in the US.
The denim is also made from regenerative cotton and I love the relaxed straight leg- true classics! They’re also great un-cuffed with heels. PS they run big in my opinion. I took my smaller size and they’re still pretty roomy.
Look 2: The best selling Leigh Pants and Margaret Top. We have a few extra available for pre-order. I’ll be living in this look. Just add your favorite jacket and you’re dressed for anything.
Look 3: The James Top is practically down to cost-per-wear pennies at this point and only about 3 weeks old. I love the juxtaposition of the casual sweatshirt with denim + heels.
The button front linen shirt in black feels a bit more elevated than the white but still very chill with this favorite relaxed denim. I also wore it Friday night unbuttoned one more with a little double sided tape, a more fitted jean and a kitten heel for drinks with friends.
top. jeans. bag. similar shoes
Look 5: Back in James over The Edie Dress + Loafers. I loved the way this look felt-comfortable but chic and a little nerdy in all the best ways.
Look 6: Sweater/Denim/Shoes (mine are sold out but these are similar)
Okay I technically didn’t wear this but I tried the cardigan on to show a customer who wanted to know the difference between the xs/s and m/l cardigans and fell in love with the m/l so decided to keep it for myself. Love love love with the relaxed fit denim and heels.
Look 7: Top/Denim (similar fit)/Shoes (similar)
James again tucked into black denim. I designed James to be tuckable without making you look like a stuffed animal but still have the shape of a sweatshirt. This vintage Ferragamo bag was a Real Real score.
And a few other looks I wore for meetings last week/this weekend. Effortless but elevated repeats…

Finally the look on the left inspired by the photo on the right. Again, I’m all about summer but I do love the way pretty much everything Vincent James looks with a leather jacket thrown over…

Top/Skirt/Jacket is men’s Rag + Bone from The Real Real. I also just ordered these similar earrings and can’t wait to style them with a coming soon VJ sweater.
Here’s to fall style even if it’s still 90 where you live!
As always thank you for being here and for your support for our small business + values!

Heather - I wanted to share here (if appropriate!) that I ordered the previous version of the Leigh pants in a size L and unfortunately they are too big for me. I would love to sell them to another reader / lover of your designs for whom they might be a better fit! Only hoping to get back what I paid (on sale for $160) so if anyone is interested please message me!
