Vincent James Style Spotlight
Therapist + Friend, Elizabeth Trembley
I’m excited to introduce this VJ Style Spotlight series featuring inspirational stylish women and how they incorporate Vincent James pieces into their lives starting with my dear friend and always impeccably dressed, Elizabeth Trembly. Elizabeth and I met shortly after I moved to Charleston immediately bonding over our shared appreciation for all things art, interiors, psychology, fashion and most lovingly our same-aged children.
Elizabeth is a licensed psychotherapist working with individuals and couples who are emotionally overwhelmed, navigating trauma, feeling disconnected from their identity who may appear high functioning, yet carry invisible pain beneath the surface. Her method merges psychoanalytic and depth psychology, trauma-informed, and somatic practices to evolve layer by layer one’s truest self. “The loss of self is universal and we have all felt its ravaging wounds.”
Below is a little Q+A with Elizabeth…
You always look so chic! How would you describe your style in 3 words?
Feminine, minimal, ease.
You have a beautiful full life including traveling often to Europe. How does Vincent James work with your lifestyle:
As a woman, my life consists of parenting, running my own business and being a committed partner and friend. Vincent James pieces have been incorporated into my everyday life evoking the ease and elevation that matches my spirit. I find that each piece can translate into all of these nuances aspects of my day; from feeling comfortable and chic to move with kids and travel, professionalism with clients, or sexy and desirable on date night. From the grocery store to a night out in Paris, I’m wearing Vincent James!
You always give me the most thoughtful advice (bonus of being friends with a therapist). As a professional, what advice would you give for surviving and even thriving during the holidays?
Move with ease, lean into love, do not meet the holiday rush energy with the same frenetic energy. It’s such a waste! Enjoy your kids and loved ones, enjoy the sparkle in each view and give yourself permission to say “no” to things in order to preserve your peace. Try your best not to miss these magical human moments by over committing or meeting external pressures. More moments, less consumerism!
You also have amazing taste in interiors. Your home is a beautiful collaboration between meaningful found pieces and authentic modern design. What’s your go-to hostess or friend gift for the holidays?
I love shopping at the MOMA gift show for unique unexpected gifts that one certainly doesn’t need. Beautiful books, vases, salt and pepper shakers, etc. This year I especially love these Italian Ball Candles, I purchased both shades of green as I thought they would be fun to enjoy all year round.
Thank you for your support for Vincent James, your style and your friendship, Elizabeth!
And thank you all for being here!
Heather
