I intended to combine this post with one about where we stayed and my review/agenda etc. but it was getting too long so I'll start with what I packed and wore for a family + friends vacation in Nicaragua.
Bobby: I wish I had better photos of this look. I wore these as a swimsuit cover and felt very chic going to lunch, shopping etc in them. These shorts are versatile and IMO essential! The necklace is a favorite by friend and super talented artist Lia Burke Libaire.
Open Back Apron Top: This is a vacation no-brainer. I wore this with Leigh. It would also work with the Bobby Shorts but I had already worn those all day ;)
Leigh: I wore these to travel there and back with the organic scoop tank in black, and regenerative cardigan, to dinner with the open back top and to yoga. These pants can easily be cleaned with a bit of gentle detergent (I travel with mine), dry quickly as merino does and iron easily. It was very hot in Nicaragua but these are temperature regulating. I wear them all year round, even in the heat of Charleston summers.
Edie in white: This was the perfect dress to throw on for a lovely evening of dinner and drinks at our house with friends after a long day of travel. I also wore this dress for Easter with the button front cardigan over my shoulders, twice while in Italy last summer and about 3-4x/month for spring/summer everyday life.
Lou: This dress!! I wore this for dinner with the V in the back and post beach for a poolside drink with my husband with the V in the front. 2 looks in 1 means the cost per wear is twice as low.
Brennan: I wore these over my swimsuit for breakfast and beach walks. I’m obsessed with these pants!
Hutton: The Nicaraguan sun is so strong you almost have to have a shirt or long-sleeve suit if you’re out for any extended time! The Hutton linen shirt in both white and blue were my go-to’s for pool/beachside as well as for horseback riding. These favorite jean shorts along with these walking sandals took me from the stables to sunset drinks and dinner.
Zoe: I wore this with the white organic scoop tank for dinner and the next day as my swimsuit cover. She’s so easy to style up or down and I LOVE the way she moves!
Alice: A perfect throw on for morning coffee or after slipping out of your suit and into some cocktails (note the melted ice marks ;).
Swim:
A rashguard type suit is pretty essential and this one is SO flattering and functional (worth every penny)!
A red suit for a little color. This one is similar.
Also packed but not pictured:
These flip flops + these favorite black sandals. I also packed these but never wore them even though I’m obsessed and they’re super comfortable.
This hat was essential + this one got passed around between my daughter and me.
A vintage suede jacket (similar here).
Sport Shorts black + white for morning beach walks/coffee runs post-dip bathroom runs and yoga on our patio.
Excited to share more about our experience there!
Thank you for being here!
Heather
Perfectly chic vacation looks! 🤍
