8 Week Capsule

all in a carry-on

I’m packing for a long escape from the heat of Charleston and wanted to share the summer vibe I’m going for as I prepare to shrink my closet into a carry-on suitcase. We’ll be spending a bit of time in cities but mostly in laid-back locations with lots of hiking, biking and lounging lake days followed by casual/cool evenings entertaining at home- think flowing + chill with the occasional night out.

Here’s a peek at a few of the outfits I’m planning so far. I’ll share everything I pack and wear as we go. Just a note on traveling- I’ve learned that I feel best when I stick to my personal style no matter where we go. I don’t need to buy anything new to match the location- just mix and match a bit differently than I might at home. And a reminder that it’s beyond okay to repeat. I wear the Hutton button front linen shirt and shorts just about everyday in Steamboat and have been for the last few years. It’s the perfect hike or bike to lunch or cocktails look that keeps me protected from the intense mountain sun.
